I am Rainer, and innovation is my daily driver
I completed my study for a joint master' degree in Business Administration and Computer Science at Darmstadt Technical University 23 years ago.
Right after that I started at Group Deutsche Börse as IT in-house consultant and enjoyed the project work in an international environment.
Further developed in different roles such as product manager for power congestion management in Energy IT. Here our greatest achievement was to build an optimised pan-european power market with huge social welfare generation by lowering the power prices for many countries.
Acted also as a sales person to aquire further partner exchanges worldwide.
Since 2016, I am working at Eurex Clearing in Securities & Collateral Clearing Design section. Here I am elaborating the potential of blockchain technology for the financial market.
What motivates me most for the application for the supervisory board is my drive for innovation and new technology where I see the need to foster these competences in this committee. We are facing a rapidly changing financial market and instead of being shaped we should rather shape the industry.
Ich bin Rainer Müller und Innovation ist mein Tagesgeschäft!
Vor 23 Jahren beendete ich mein Studium der Wirtschaftsinformatik an der Technischen Universität Darmstadt.
Gleich darauf fing ich bei der Gruppe Deutsche Börse als unternehmensinterner IT Consultant an und lernte die Projektarbeit in einem internationalem Arbeitsumfeld zu schätzen.
Weitere Entwicklung erfuhr ich in der Rolle als Produktverantwortlicher für Strom-Kapazitäts-Handel im Bereich Energy IT. Mein größter Erfolg war die Errichtung eines optimierten pan-Europäischen Strommarktes, bei dem wir im Team ein riesiges Potential an Social Welfare heben und die Strompreise für viele Europäische Länder senken konnten.
Weiterhin war ich auch für die Akquisition von weiteren weltweiten Partnerbörsen verantwortlich.
Seit 2016 bin ich bei der Eurex Clearing in der Securities & Collateral Clearing Design Abteilung tätig. Hier erarbeite ich mit das Potential von Blockchain-Technologie für den Finanzmarkt zu heben.
Was mich am meisten für den Aufsichtsrat motiviert ist mein Streben nach Innovation und neuen Technologien. Hier sehe ich die Notwendigkeit das Kompetenzprofil dieses Gremiums zu stärken. Wir stehen vor einem Umbruch im Finanzmarkt und anstatt sich der Veränderung zu ergeben, sollten wir diese Veränderung aktiv in unsere Richtung gestalten.

Seit drei Jahren als Aufsichtsratsmitglied und ebenso im Betriebsrat tätig, stelle ich mich bereits dieser Verantwortung.
